This training program will give participants the skills to design, implement & evaluate health & leisure for clients in a range of settings.
Opportunities for employment are available as a Diversional Therapist, Activities Assistant and Recreational Worker.
The course is held over 18 months.
This course can lead into a range of education and training pathways programs including a Diploma of Community
Services (Lifestyle & Leisure) or a Bachelor of Health Sciences.

CHCCS401A-Facilitate Co-Operative Behavior
CHCCS405A- Work effectively with culturally diverse clients & co-workers
CHCOHS302A-Participate In Workplace Safety Procedures
CHCRH1B- Orientation to work in the leisure and health industry
CHCCRH2A- Leisure and health programming
CHCRH3B- Develop leisure & health programming for clients with special needs
CHCRH4B- Co-ordinate, implement & monitor leisure & health programs
Elective Units:
CHCADMIN3B-Undertake Administrative Work
CHCGROUP3C-Plan and Conduct Group Activities
CHCINF8B-Comply with information requirements of the Aged Care Community Care sector
